On Twitter President Donald Trump Warns North Korea his Nuclear Button is ‘Much Bigger & More Powerful’

On Tuesday, Donald Trump tweeted in response to Kim Jong Un’s New Years speech. During the speech he proclaimed “The entire United States is within range of our nuclear weapons, and a nuclear button is always on my desk.” But the North Korea leader also added that “This is reality, not a threat,” and that “these weapons will be used only if our security is threatened.”

The presidents tweet read:

“North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”

Trump’s inflamed response came among about a half dozen others regarding Israel, Pakistan, and the media. In it he calls for someone from the regime to notify the North Korean of his bigger & more powerful button and claims “my Button works!”.

The banter comes just before North Korea decided to open communication channels with South Korea for the first time in just under two years. Reports are calling this a possible breakthrough in diplomatic talks with the hermit nation. During the first 20 minute connection between the nations they “checked technical issues of the communication line,” said the Unification ministry of South Korea.

North Korea is also interested in participating in the 2018 Olympic Games, which Trump claims is because of added sanctions and pressures on the country. In December of last year the United Nations had approved more sanctions against the nation for it’s launch of an ICBM.
